Join ReThink Red Deer, Cows & Fish, and volunteers from organizations supporting the Piper Creek Restoration Agriculture Project for a tour and hands-on workshop to install a beaver pond leveller in Piper Creek!
The morning starts with a tour of a spectacular 200ft crescent beaver dam followed by discussion and orientation of beaver pond levellers and installation along Piper Creek led by Todd Kelly of the Medicine River Wildlife Centre and Carolyn Ross of Cows & Fish.
This workshop made possible by support from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation for ReThink Red Deer's "ReFraming the WaterShed" project. There is no cost to participate but registration is required. Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Lunch and refreshments provided. Please dress for the weather, bring gloves, and wear proper footwear (e.g., work boots, mud boots, etc.)
