EcoBuffer Urban Ag Workshop

10am to 4pm - Saturday, June 15 (part 1) at the Piper Creek Restoration Agriculture Project site (part 2 on Sept 7)

EcoBuffer Workshop

Join ReThink Red Deer and Living Lands Landscape and Design for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to design and plant an Eco-Buffer!

An eco-buffer is an improvement on the traditional shelterbelt. Eco-buffers still act as shelterbelts but provide many other benefits such as reduced soil erosion, valuable habitat for wildlife, increased moisture for land, increased property value and beautification, protection and energy savings for buildings, increased biodiversity, and all-season shelter for livestock.

This is a 2-part workshop; June 15th will focus on design and site preparation and September 7th will focus on planting.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. This workshop was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Alberta Real Estate Foundation.
