This is the fourth of five introductory timber framing workshops to help prepare the materials for the timber frame barn raising at the Piper Creek Restoration Agriculture Project! Led by seasoned timber framer, Wayne Froese (Top Peg Timber Frame Construction) and guest instructors, you will learn the history and basics of timber frame construction and get hands-on experience to help build a full-scale timber frame barn dubbed, "The Water Shed" at the end of September*

Workshop #4 - Modern World Applications and Final Assembly (subject to change)
Morning: A seminar presentation at the Renewable Energy Fair + Workshops (Sept 21 - Red Deer College) on the relevance of timber frame construction in the modern world.
Afternoon: Assembly of bents, raising script, different ways of raising and safety requirements / precautions, and cutting of remaining barn members at the Piper Creek project site.
